Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
A unit based role that provides leadership in clinical practice, education, professional development and research utilization for patient care staff. Works collaboratively as a leadership partner with the Patient Care Manager and supervisors to assure excellent nursing care for children and families. Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position is an advanced practice role for the MACC Fund Center Service Line.
This position provides leadership in pediatric oncology, education, professional development and knowledge of evidence-based practice for patient care staff. Works collaboratively within the MACC Fund center Service Line to assure quality and safe nursing care for children and families.
Masters degree in nursing required from an accredited clinical nurse specialist program. Preference given to those with education and practice experience in pediatric acute care. Three to five years experience in pediatric oncology preferred.
