Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, section of Hematology-Oncology is pleased to announce job openings for inpatient pediatric Hematology-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) acute care pediatric nurse practitioners at Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Centers in the Texas Medical Center.
This is an opportunity to join the largest pediatric hematology-oncology program in the nation, working in close collaboration with pediatric hematology-oncology and BMT academic faculty, sub-specialty fellows and advanced practice providers (APPs).
Responsibilities include care and management of hematology-oncology or BMT patients, daily physical and laboratory assessments, entering orders, documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC), patient and family education, oversight of chemotherapy regimens, interdisciplinary sub-specialty referrals, and discharge planning.
The AC-PNP will receive in-depth training as required to provide excellent care to a diverse population of patients with unusual presentations. The APPs are an integral part of the treatment team of physician and APP faculty and mentors dedicated to providing high quality care to pediatric hematology-oncology patients.

Masters of Science in Nursing
Texas State Board of Nursing APRN licensure (Compact license accepted)
Acute care pediatric nurse practitioner certification
