The oncology nurse coordinator through assessment, communication, coordination, education, partnerships and advocacy, acts as the key contact and coordinator of care for hematology/oncology patients and their families. The purpose of this role is to enable seamless, individualized care for children/adolescents and their families with pediatric oncological and hematological disorders, optimizing the outcomes for all involved. This position identifies individual care needs and regularly provides indirect (via telephone triage) and direct (infusion/treatments) care to patients and families of the hematology/oncology population.
In this role you will provide support to include, but not limited to; reviewing daily schedule and anticipating support needs including support for new patients, restaging patients, change of therapy, community resources, and oral chemotherapy, assisting providers in preparing orders, determining visit schedule and lab frequency as instructed. Prepares new protocols as instructed and identifies protocols which require further authorization.

Current Montana RN license
BLS certification required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of two (2) year's recent oncology experience.
Current Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider preferred. APHON Chemotherapy /Biotherapy Provider must be successfully obtained within one (1) year of hire.
