Position Summary: The Doernbecher Blood and Cancer Program seeks 2 full-time registered nurses (RNs) to join the oncology team (hematologic malignancies and solid tumors [non-neuro-onc]) as Nurse Coordinators. The purpose of these positions is to enable seamless, individualized care for children and adolescents with cancer, in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team and their families. Key responsibilities are to: 1) provide care coordination and facilitate referrals among multiple clinical services within and outside OHSU, 2) facilitate RN-RN communication between inpatient unit and clinic/Infusion Center, 3) liaise with clinical research associates to support clinical research, 4) coordinate transfer of patients to and from outside institutions, and 5) maximize continuity of care.
Applicants must be an RN with a BSN, have previous RN experience in pediatric hematology/oncology, and have an unencumbered Oregon RN license at time of hire. This is a daytime position. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Current unencumbered Oregon RN license; Certification in Basic Life Support & Pediatric Advanced Life Support; APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider

Previous Experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology including administration of chemotherapy and blood products.
Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience with acutely ill patients.
