Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants

The University of Arizona College of Medicine in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) (Family or Pediatric) to join a well-established group of academic Pediatric Oncologists and NPs with a long history of productivity in clinical and research arenas. This successful candidate will care for high risk Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant patients in a University hospital setting:
Ability to independently round on hospitalized Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant patients
Assist Pediatric Oncologist on management of Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant inpatients and outpatients
Perform Hem/Onc procedures (bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures)
Schedule and Qualifications include:
3 years’ experience as RN or NP in Pediatric Hem/Onc or Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant experience
Current Board Certification
Critical Care training and experience
Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS
Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance
Current Arizona License is strongly preferred
Work Schedule: Flexible, varies from week to week. Will include weekend coverage
