Responsibilities

Collaborates with multidisciplinary team in the management of subjects participating in clinical research studies. Conducts studies assigned, staying within parameters of protocol and regulatory compliance, available resources and budget.

This position is embedded in the Children’s Cancer & Blood Disorders Program. The Research RN will work in conjunction with the current department Coordinator of Pediatric Oncology Research, under the supervision of the department Clinical Director/PI and Nurse Manager.

• The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail, the ability to successfully multi-task, and excellent organizational skills. Oncology Research experience preferred.
• Duties include the collection and organization of patient data, collection of patient specimens, responding to sponsor queries, identifying, reporting and following up on Serious Safety Events, performing limited testing with study subjects, telephone follow-up with survivors, clarification of protocol questions with national coordinators, obtaining consent for non-therapeutic trials, gathering op reports, radiology reports and tissue specimens from referring hospitals, completing case reports forms, preparing for audits by sponsors, IRB and/or the FDA/DHHS.
