Under supervision of the Director of Nursing or Medical Director, provide direct nursing care, infusion therapy and documentation to patients in the Community Oncology Practice. Major functions include: patient assessment, patient evaluation and preparation and administration of chemotherapeutic agents and other intravenous drugs, patient education and psychosocial support.
Knowledge of the Oncology patient population and practice operations, required BSN or MSN, required Current valid CA RN license, required Two years of acute care/ oncology outpatient experience, required Knowledge of all aspects of infusion therapy in an oncology setting, required ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification BLS from ARC or AHA, required Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through for multiple patient treatments on an ongoing basis Excellent blood withdrawal and IV skills Knowledge and skill in Central line Catheters Ability to push, pull or carry 30 pounds or more.
