The Registered Nurse on 4 East Hematology Oncology Unit under general supervision, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. 4 East is a 32-bed unit treating patients with various cancers from leukemias/lymphomas to solid tumors along with blood disorders such as sickle-cell anemia and hemophilia. Our patients are cared for by a staff of highly skilled and compassionate nurses, physicians and ancillary members of the health care team.
