IU Health Arnett has an exciting career opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join its collaborative Oncology team. Specifically, you will work with its Survivorship and the high-risk breast prevention Program in addition to patient education and treatment management. The practice is located in the beautiful college town of Lafayette (home of Big Ten member Purdue University).
Formal orientation in place with our Hematology Oncology department chairman as the onsite mentor
Key responsibilities:
Inpatient rounding for established Oncology patients
Manage patients first chemotherapy/immunotherapy treatment
Provide education to patients for chemo, biotherapy, and any infusion service.
Staff education and development
Non-established PCP patient liaison provider for treatment plans
As the Survivorship Program Leader -
See patients for six-week post treatment plan
See scheduled patients for established Oncology and Hematology duties (complete lab reviews, approve chemotherapy cycle, etc.)
Patient population: Oncology and Hematology adult patients
Practice Location: Primarily at IU Health Arnett Cancer Care (420 North 26th St, Lafayette, IN 47904). Some duties will also be at IU Health Arnett Hospital (5165 McCarty Ln, Lafayette, IN 47905)
