The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Nurse Educator to join our Pediatric Oncology Department. In this role, you will be pivotal in providing advanced education and support to our nursing staff and ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to enhance the clinical skills and knowledge of our nurses, helping them navigate the complexities of pediatric oncology care.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver educational programs for nursing staff, focusing on pediatric oncology care, including chemotherapy administration, patient and family support, and symptom management.
Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify educational needs and create training materials that address these needs.
Mentor and support nursing staff in clinical practice, providing guidance on complex cases and facilitating professional development.
Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvements.
Participate in patient care as needed, ensuring that the care provided aligns with best practices and institutional standards.
Foster a supportive and collaborative environment, promoting teamwork and excellence in patient care.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required, master’s degree in nursing (MSN) preferred.
Current RN license in the state of Florida.
CPHON, BMTCN, or CPN certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in pediatric oncology, with at least 2 years in a leadership or educational role.
Strong knowledge of pediatric oncology practices, chemotherapy protocols, and family-centered care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to educate and mentor others.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to the evolving needs of the department.
