IU Health Medical Group South Region is seeking a passionate and dedicated Hematologist/Medical Oncologist to join our dynamic team in Bloomington, Indiana. Position Highlights: • Full-Time Employment at a top-tier cancer center, recognized by the Commission on Cancer (COC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and the American College of Radiology (ACR). • 95% Outpatient / 5% Inpatient • Team of 9 physicians (Hematology/Oncology and Radiation Oncology) and 3 advanced practice providers. • Educational Opportunities: For those interested, there’s the potential to teach medical students with a Affiliate faculty appointment at Indiana University School of Medicine – Bloomington Campus.
Qualifications: • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology. • Residents, fellows, and practicing physicians are encouraged to apply. • J1 and H1B visa sponsorship available.

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.
At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
