We are seeking passionate Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist to join the growing multidisciplinary care team at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, Nevada’s premier childhood cancer and rare disease center.

SUMMARY: Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist is responsible for treating patients with cancer and blood disorders. This is an exempt, full-time position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a member of the physician and follows all standard operating procedures.
Performs procedures within the clinic procedure rooms while adhering to organizational policies.
Coordinates treatment plans and prescribes various types of treatment, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
Prepares and oversees treatment plans, including appropriate dosages.
Facilitates direct hospital admissions and ensures appropriate placement within local hospitals.
Facilitates end-of-life discussions and care planning, involving specialist, time discharge, and medication coordination.
Participates in assigned ‘on-call’ rotations generally lasting for one (1) week. Providers are expected to be on call for the entire period, twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The on-call week may be shortened or extended due to holiday coverage.
Participates in the Organization’s quality improvement activities and maintains Joint Commission and other compliance standards.
Participates in the resolution of patient, parent, and provider complaints and enhances patient and provider satisfaction as measured by periodic surveys.
Maintains excellent working relationships and communication with the other physician members of the Organization, support personnel, administration, and the Leadership Team.
Participates in Multidisciplinary Meetings (Mondays), Provider meetings (Thursday), Tumor Board meetings, and NCORP meetings.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and walking.
Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: English.
CURE 4 THE KIDS FOUNDATION PARTICIPATES IN E-VERIFY.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Licensed medical doctor specializing in pediatric hematology-oncology, with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Nevada.
Eligible to participate in the Medicare or Medicaid programs.
Maintains active or associate staff privileges, in good standing, with appropriate credentials on the medical staff of hospitals as reasonably required by the Employer.
Maintains registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Insurable for malpractice liability in accordance with Nevada statues and maintains certification by credentialing agencies reasonably determined by the Employer.
Completes Continuing Medical Education (CME) to meet organizational and state licensing requirements.
Maintains certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
